ABOUT ME

JAMALA HARRISON

JAMALA HARRISON

OWNER

Whether your passion is helping others, providing a service, or selling a great product; I want to help!  Every great relationship starts with getting to know each other, so here's some information about me.

I'm a native of Virginia and currently live in North Carolina on the traditional territory of the Tuscaraora (Skaruhreh) people.  I've had the opportunity to live in four other states, which means I've seen a lot of cool places and met a lot of great people.

I have a B.A. in English from Hampton University and a M.S. Ed. with an emphasis in Sports Management from Old Dominion University.  Most of my professional career has been spent in the education and nonprofit sectors.

My biggest strengths are organization, communication, planning, and administration.  I love to help and encourage people, and I get my warm and fuzzies from seeing others reach their goals.

I'm married to a handsome, hardworking man of faith; and, we have two awesome, and equally good-looking, boys.  In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, nature walks, playing in waterfalls, trying new restaurants, and watching movies.

Feel free to visit my LinkedIn page to learn more about me.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

KIND WORDS FROM SOME AMAZING CLIENTS

"Jamala has been a tremendous asset to Upendo Fellowship. She is personable and patient.  Her calm and thoughtfulness make brainstorming and deliberating with her highly constructive.  She is realistic and communicates that with sincerity. I am impressed with her professionalism in her timely execution and in all other aspects of her work.  Especially during the initial phase of the podcast project, I realized she is a highly organized person as well as a strong thinker and planner with very useful research skills."

— Andras Paul

"Jamala Harrison approaches her work with a professional, yet approachable style. As a team leader and host coordinator for our virtual event, she was extremely well-organized and time efficient. She was a big part of delivering an optimal experience for our attendees. I look forward to working with her in the near future!"

"When you seek a virtual assistant, it's important to trust this person and know they are going to treat the project for your business with care and dedication like you would. Jamala is that person. She was able to take my big picture, vague at times, and turn it into an amazing website. She was patient, giving examples and suggestions to visually assist me with making decisions. She constantly stayed in touch, scheduled meetings, and even took the lead when I said just do what you do. Jamala is the best! Looking forward to working together on more projects for my businesses!"

— Benita C. Gordon

"Refine Virtual Solutions is a life saver. Seeds of Empowerment obtained them to provide an answer to a major dilemma in transitioning my business from a network to a solo platform. After successfully downloading 6 years of weekly podcasts in record time, I knew I had to retain their services permanently.

Jamala was willing to be trained to become the engineer for my weekly podcast A Chat in the Garden: Where Significance Blooms in Athletics and Sports on BlogTalk Radio. She is willing to grow with clients. Time and time again her professionalism and efficiency has been demonstrated, such as researching and adding Spotify to podcast replay locations. In addition, she utilized her planning expertise to provide support for Seeds of Empowerment's annual, in-person listener appreciation event.

Refine Virtual Solutions does just that...provide support, research, and results that will assist your company to scale. So tremendously grateful for the partnership."
